Over 10 Thousand Visitors at BARU’s 6th R&D Project Market
More than 10 thousand people visited the R&D Project Market, which was held for the sixth time by Bartın University (BARU) on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
The events held at the Kutlubey Campus in order to contribute to Turkey's national technology move lasted 2 days. Ideas were exhibited in 19 main themes at the science and technology festival, where hundreds of competitors from 32 different provinces and 30 universities participated in the primary-secondary school, high school, university and above categories.
The festival, supported by the organizations that play a critical role in the development of national technology such as HAVELSAN, ROKETSAN, ASELSAN, Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO), TEİ and TAİ-TUSAŞ, among which the Bartın Governorship, TÜBİTAK, TÜSEB, Bartın Municipality, Bartın Chamber of Commerce and Industry are among the supporting institutions, was visited by more than 10 thousand people in total.
Within the scope of the R&D Project Market, seminars were given by representatives from Turkey's leading institutions and organizations. Speakers from Düzce TTO, TÜBİTAK TEYDEB, TEİ, TUSAŞ, HAVELSAN, ROKETSAN, ASELSAN, TÜRKSAT, TPAO and Volrad Battery Systems made presentations in the seminars, respectively. The "BARU Academic Performance Award Ceremony" held within the scope of the festival was held with the participation of TR MOTOR General Manager Prof. Dr. Osman Saim Dinç. The closing speech of the R&D Project Market event was made by TAI General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil, who stands out with his work that strengthens the future of the Turkish Aerospace Industry.
At the science and technology festival, which was held for the sixth time on the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, 8 projects were awarded a total of nearly 150 thousand liras. The winner of the event was Erhan Tok from Adana Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University with the project titled "Experimental Investigation and Field Application of the Effect of Stepped Airfoil Structure on Aerodynamic Performance in Vertical Axis Wind Turbines". In the High School Category, with the evaluation made by the R&D Project Market referee committee, the first prize was given to Meltem Gönülol Çelikoğlu from Buca Municipality Buca Science and Art Center with the project titled "Wearable Hybrid Nanogenerator Design with Triboelectric-Pyroelectric Features".
