BARU is the First in Turkey in 2 Fields and among the Best in 27 Areas

Bartın University (BARU) became one of the top universities in 27 research areas, including its specialization goals, according to the report prepared by TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey). Additionally, it achieved first place in two fields in Turkey.

TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) has published the "Universities' Competence Analysis on Field Basis" study, which enables a comparative evaluation of universities' research performance in technology sub-fields. According to this report, which reveals which research areas universities are more successful, Bartın University (BARU) has entered the top five universities regarding quality indicators in seven research areas.

In the field-based comparative assessments, BARU, which ranked first in the "Construction-Architecture" and "Inorganic Chemistry" fields in Turkey, was ranked third in the "Organic Chemistry" and "Cloud Computing" fields. Additionally, BARU managed to be among the top five in the "Physics Surfaces and Interfaces," "Civil Engineering," and "Education" fields. It is worth noting that BARU, which has specialized in the field of "Intelligent Logistics and Integrated Regional Applications," stands out for covering "Regionally Focused" working areas.

In the evaluation, it was observed that BARU made progress in 57 out of the 61 areas it participated in the 2023 assessment compared to 2021. BARU also appeared in the indicators for the first time in 24 regions. The evaluation based on volume and quality competence indicators in the 27 research areas determined that BARU performs above average.
