Compulsory English Preparatory Exemption Exam for Students Placed in Our University with 2024 YKS Additional Placement
For our students placed in our university's English Language Teaching and English Translation and Interpreting Undergraduate Programs with "2024 YKS Additional Placement", a Foreign Language Exemption (Proficiency) Exam will be held on Tuesday, October 01, 2024 between 11:00-13:00 at the MI-Z-16/E office of the School of Foreign Languages.
Students who are successful in the exam will be exempted from the Foreign Language Preparatory Program and will be able to continue their education in their own academic units. Those who do not participate in the exam and those who participate but fail are required to follow the foreign language preparatory program.
About the Exemption (Proficiency) Exam
The Compulsory English Preparatory Program Exemption (Proficiency) exam will be held in two sessions, written and oral.
Students who will participate in the exam must be present in the exam hall with their Turkish Republic ID cards or student ID cards/documents with photos at least 20 minutes before the start time of both sessions. Students who present an ID document without a photo will not be allowed into the exam hall. Students are kindly requested to bring the necessary exam supplies such as pencils, erasers and sharpeners on the day of the written exam.
Only students who receive sufficient scores in the written exam session will be able to participate in the oral exam sessions to be held on October 2, 2024. The list of students who can participate in the oral exam, the oral exam session times and the hall information will be announced on the website of the School of Foreign Languages during the day after the written exam to be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.
