The School of Foreign Languages at Bartın University organized a counseling seminar titled "Foreign Language Learning Strategies" to help students manage their language learning processes more consciously and effectively.

The seminar was conducted by Lecturer Dr. Burçin Kef, one of our school's faculty members. During the session, it was emphasized that language learning is not merely about memorizing vocabulary or grammar rules; rather, the strategies employed during the learning process play a critical role in student success.

Key Topics Discussed:

• Characteristics of Successful Learners: What sets apart those who master a language.

• Classification of Strategies: Categorizing different approaches to learning.

• Practical Applications: Integrating techniques into daily life.

• Actionable Advice: Concrete suggestions were provided, including vocabulary acquisition techniques, the shadowing method, creating daily language exposure, developing reading habits, and preparing weekly study plans.

Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI):

A significant portion of the seminar focused on the effective use of AI tools in language learning. Dr. Kef demonstrated with examples how students can utilize AI to practice speaking, improve writing skills, and conduct self-assessments of their learning progress.

The event, which saw participation from students in both the Optional and Compulsory English Preparatory Programs, concluded with an interactive Q&A session.
