BARU School of Foreign Languages Holds 2025–2026 Spring Semester Academic Board Meeting
Bartın University (BARU) School of Foreign Languages held its Academic Board Meeting on February 26, 2026, to evaluate preparations for the 2025–2026 Spring Semester and review quality assurance processes. The meeting also included an evaluation of the previous semester and plans for the upcoming period.
With the participation of the School administration and academic staff, the meeting addressed various topics, including educational quality, internationalization, social responsibility projects, and physical infrastructure.
Strategic Priorities and Semester Evaluation
The agenda was shaped by the mission, vision, and strategic plans of the University and the School. Key topics included the evaluation of Fall 2025 activities, satisfaction survey results and improvement plans for the Spring Semester, academic performance indicators and scientific publications, Erasmus+ goals and international collaborations, academic advising processes, attendance tracking, institutional communication standards, and social responsibility activities planned through the Foreign Languages Club.
Plans for iftar programs for students during Ramadan were also discussed as part of the School’s social responsibility activities.
Certificates of Appreciation Presented
As part of the meeting, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to academic staff members based on the results of the 2025–2026 Fall Semester Student Course Evaluation Surveys. The certificates were presented by the Directorate to staff members who contributed to the Optional and Compulsory English Preparatory Programs, academic advising processes, and the activities of the Foreign Languages Club.
During the ceremony, the Director of the School of Foreign Languages, Asst. Prof. Dr. Özkan AVCI, thanked the academic staff for their contributions and stated:
“The efforts of each academic staff member who contributes to our academic development and student satisfaction are among the foundations of our institutional success.”
The meeting concluded with good wishes for a productive and successful new semester.
