The Bartın University (BARÜ) School of Foreign Languages held its Academic Board Meeting on February 26, 2026, to evaluate the planning for the 2025-2026 Spring Semester and review quality assurance processes. The meeting focused on analyzing the previous term while establishing a strategic roadmap for the upcoming period.
With the participation of our school administration and academic staff, critical decisions were made across a wide spectrum, ranging from educational quality and internationalization to social responsibility projects and physical infrastructure.
The core agenda was shaped by the mission, vision, and strategic plans of our University and School. Key discussion points included:
Analysis of Fall 2025 Activities: Detailed review of the previous semester’s performance.
Quality Improvement: Reviewing satisfaction survey results and implementing improvement plans for the Spring semester.
Academic Productivity: Developing strategies to increase staff performance indicators and scientific publications.
Internationalization: Reaffirming goals for the Erasmus+ program and the development of international collaborations.
Student Support: Focusing on academic counseling processes, attendance tracking, and institutional communication standards.
Social Responsibility: Finalizing plans for Iftar programs for students during Ramadan and social projects conducted through the Foreign Languages Club.
One of the most significant moments of the meeting was the Certificate Ceremony held to honor high-performing faculty members. Based on the 2025-2026 Fall Semester Student Course Evaluation Surveys, "Certificates of Appreciation" were presented by the Directorate to faculty members who:
Demonstrated outstanding success in the Optional and Compulsory Preparatory Programs.
Meticulously managed academic counseling processes.
Contributed significantly to the activities of the Foreign Languages Club.
During the ceremony, the Director of the School of Foreign Languages expressed gratitude to the staff, stating:
