An academic advising activity titled “Awareness Against Bullying” was organized for students in the preparatory classes of the School of Foreign Languages. The event was delivered as an interactive presentation by Instructor Şirin Oral.
The session covered the definition of bullying, its various types, and its psychological and social effects on individuals. Students were encouraged to share their views on the subject. Through real-life case scenarios, participants discussed how to respond when faced with bullying and developed possible solutions.
The latter part of the event focused on university reporting and support channels, providing students with guidance on whom to contact within the university. Students were also informed about their legal rights and the procedures to follow in cases of bullying.
The main goal of the session was not only to raise awareness, but also to help students take informed action by knowing their formal rights.
We would like to thank Instructor Şirin Oral and our students for their active participation in this productive and insightful event.
