A student project prepared by the Foreign Languages Club under the coordination of our Vocational School has received support from the European Union

The project titled "Rural Futures: Youth Empowered through Language" developed by students of Bartın University (BARÜ) has been successfully selected for support under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Program.

Implemented by the Turkish National Agency with support from the European Union, the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) Program has approved the project titled "Rural Futures: Youth Empowered through Language," developed by Bartın University (BARÜ) students. The project, coordinated by the Foreign Languages Vocational School and prepared by the Foreign Languages Club, was one of 37 projects selected from 582 project applications to be included in the Solidarity Projects (ESC30) category.

This project, funded by the European Union, is also the first solidarity project supported by ESC that has been developed by a student club at BARÜ.

The project "Rural Futures: Youth Empowered through Language" aims to support the language learning processes of children by organizing interactive English workshops. Additionally, learning processes will be made more efficient and enjoyable through cultural activities and digital tools. The project targets children aged 10-18 living in rural areas and aims to contribute to equal educational opportunities in teaching English.

The academic advisor for the project is Lecturer İbrahim Kayacan from the Foreign Languages Vocational School, and the project team from the Foreign Languages Club includes Hazal Çağ, Ahmed Omaiqa, Elif Özaktaş, Gizem Yönal, Şevval Eşiyok, and Şeyma Bozkurt.

Dr. Özkan Avcı, the Director of the Foreign Languages Vocational School, congratulated the project team for their work on solidarity projects and stated that they would continue to support the club's activities.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, the Rector of BARÜ, emphasized the importance of youth volunteering in projects that benefit society, congratulating the Foreign Languages Club project team and their advisor on their success and wishing them continued success in their efforts.
