The 8th Traditional Debate Event was held on January 5–6, 2026, as part of the Compulsory English Preparatory Program of the School of Foreign Languages. During the event, nine student groups had the opportunity to debate various current topics in English.

The event helped students develop their critical thinking, persuasive speaking, teamwork, and academic discussion skills while also providing them with an opportunity to use English effectively in authentic communication contexts.

Throughout the event, students’ dedication during the preparation process, as well as their ability to construct arguments and respond to opposing views, drew attention. Following the jury evaluations, the groups that performed successfully were recognized.

As one of the traditional events of the School of Foreign Languages, the Debate Event continues to contribute to students’ foreign language proficiency and self-confidence.
