“WE ARE PREPARING OUR STUDENTS FOR FUTURE”

Prof. Dr. Orhan UZUN, the Rector of the university, emphasized that foreign language skills are essential in today’s world and universities are expected to graduate students having these skills. With the foundation of the School of Foreign Languages, our students will be ready for the future ahead.

The Director of the School of Foreign Languages, Assistant Prof. Dr. Burcu Şentürk, on the other hand, said their aim with these Speaking Club activities is to help students improve their English listening and speaking skills and to give them the opportunity to practice speaking in English. She added that the activities in the speaking club involved experience sharing, storytelling, discussion, drama and making presentation, all of which necessitates active participation; and that the students, who were planning to go abroad within the scope of projects and student mobility programs, would have the opportunity to get together with foreign students and exchange ideas during the activities.
The Speaking Club will be organized every Friday at 15:30-17:00 and all students are welcome to participate.
